International Olympic Committee (IOC) spokesman Mark Adams said that if Russian Olympic team skater Valieva finishes in the top three, her performance in the Winter Olympics will be considered preliminary and subject to further investigation, Russian Sputnik news agency reported Sunday.Meanwhile, the International Skating Union (ISU) said valieva would be able to participate in the post-race demonstration skating if she achieved a medal position. The preliminary results, announced Friday, will be marked with an asterisk pending further review, Mark Adams said.Adams also said all current conclusions about valieva’s positive test were inappropriate because the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) had not heard the case and the B-bottle sample had not been opened for testing.Russian Olympic committee’s Anastasia Serbakova and Japan’s Hanori Sakamoto ranked second and third respectively in the women’s single short program of figure skating at the Beijing Capital Stadium on February 15.The women’s singles free skating competition will be held on May 17.After the four events, some skaters can perform on the ice according to their own style. The performance skating will not be ranked by the score.(Original title: International Skating Federation: Valieva if ranked the top three can participate in the performance skating
